COMPATIBILITY CHECKER
Will BabyDrive Cam work in your car?
1 of 2 — Does your car have built-in Apple CarPlay on its screen?
Prefer the details? Here’s how compatibility works
BabyDrive Cam works with vehicles that have built-in wired Apple CarPlay with a touchscreen — found in most cars from 2016 onwards.
Compatible
- Vehicles with built-in wired Apple CarPlay and a touchscreen — full experience with split-screen and picture-in-picture, so you can navigate and see your baby at the same time.
Not compatible
- Cars with wireless-only CarPlay (no cable option)
- Cars without built-in Apple CarPlay or without a touchscreen
- Some aftermarket head units — if your screen isn't the car's original one, message us first
Using Android Auto?
BabyDrive Cam is designed for Apple CarPlay. If you use Android Auto, message us with your car's make, model and year before ordering — we'll confirm whether your setup is supported.
Still not sure?
Send us a message with your car's make, model and year before ordering and we'll confirm compatibility within 24 hours. We'd rather answer one more question than send you something that doesn't work in your car.
Frequently asked questions
Does it record or upload video?
No. The feed is live-only, transmitted wirelessly inside your car. Nothing is recorded, stored or uploaded — your family's privacy stays in the car.
Does night vision really work?
Yes — enhanced night vision gives you a clear view of your baby on evening and night drives, without any light disturbing them.
How does the camera get power?
The camera unit is powered by USB: plug it into a rear USB port, or into any 12V cigarette-lighter USB adapter if your back row has no USB socket. The receiver plugs into your car's front USB/CarPlay port.
How hard is the installation?
A few minutes, no tools: clip the camera onto the headrest rods or strap it around the headrest of the seat facing your baby, plug the receiver into your car's USB port, and the camera appears on your screen.
Can I use my navigation and the camera at the same time?
Yes — split-screen and picture-in-picture let you keep maps and music on screen alongside the live camera view.
Does it work with two children / two cars?
One camera covers one seat. Contact us if you'd like to set up monitoring for two children — we can advise on the best setup.
